People come face to face with negative energy in some shape or form every day. Some are much more prominent and profoundly affect you, while others, such as a grumpy coworker, affect you minimally. There are many benefits you can gain by performing a spiritual cleansing.

No matter what it is, there is negative energy in your life and your body that will cause your spirit to become clouded with destructive and harmful energy. It is always good to cleanse yourself and your spirit now and then, as there are many benefits to be gained by cleansing yourself spiritually.

By doing so, it will offer the following benefits:

  • It promotes balance, which improves mental thinking, intellectual power, and clarity and even helps in building self-esteem.
  • Inner peace and peace of mind
  • Heightened sense of awareness
  • Harmony with the inner and outer world
  • Spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical healing

The Process of a Spiritual Cleansing

When starting your spiritual cleansing, it is often a great idea to clean your body. Take a relaxing bath, using bath salts to cleanse your entire body thoroughly. Remember, cleanliness is Godliness and is necessary for many religions before one can partake in meditation, prayers, or spiritual practices. While lying there, relaxing in the water, meditate on everything you want to cleanse or any aspect of your life that you believe needs cleansing. Some people like to write down the things that come to mind, so they don’t accidentally forget something.

Balancing Your Chakras

Once you have cleansed yourself physically, you can begin with the actual spiritual cleansing process of the spirit. Chakras play a significant role in the yogic and tantric traditions of Buddhism and Hinduism. These are the centers of the body where one takes in all forms of energy, whether negative or positive. Balancing your Chakras and extensive meditation is a beautiful way to clear your body of negative energies and restore your aura.

The 7 Chakras

The 7 Chakras

There are seven chakras located in your body. They begin at the base of your spine and go all the way to the crown of your head. The seven Chakras are:

  • Crown Chakra
  • Brow Chakra, also known as Third Eye Chakra
  • Throat Chakra
  • Heart Chakra
  • Solar Plexus
  • Sacral Chakra
  • Root Chakra

There are also said to be seven chakras below going down the leg. You can use numerous techniques to open, clean, and balance your chakras and to push and expel all negative energy. Breathing exercises are an essential part of Chakra meditation. They will not only help you relax, but they will also help push out bad energy and pull in positive energy. Simultaneously, they will open up new paths in your body that help you balance and center yourself.

Never underestimate the meditation and breathing part while spiritually cleansing yourself. It works on many levels and even helps you think and comprehend why negative energy may be in your life and how you can minimize the negative influences.

Spell to Balance your Chakras

Chakras are the energy centers located in your body. As you have just learned, there are seven main chakras in total, and each one is associated with a different color. When the chakras are out of sync, you can experience various health-related problems. For example, when the crown chakra is blocked, you may get headaches and not know why. Many magic practitioners take the time to cleanse and balance the chakras before undertaking any ritual. Keeping your chakras balanced is an excellent way to help you stay grounded and centered.

This spell is a vocal spell for balancing the chakras. No tools or ingredients are needed, just a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Before you begin, you should know where each chakra is located and what color it is associated with.

How to Perform the Chakra Balancing Spell

  • The first chakra is located at the base of your spine, and its color is red. This chakra controls our overall health.
  • The second is the chakra located around the lower abdomen or the womb for women. Its color is orange, and it governs creativity.
  • The third chakra is located in the solar plexus; the color is gold and controls our will.
  • Fourth is the heart chakra, which controls emotions and is associated with the color green.
  • The fifth chakra is at the base of the throat, the color is blue, and it affects communication.
  • The sixth chakra is the third eye chakra, located between your eyebrows. The color of the third eye chakra is a deep violet-blue; this chakra is responsible for psychic vision.
  • The last one is the seventh chakra found at the crown of your head. The color associated is purple, and this chakra governs the connection to the divine.

To balance the chakras, use your voice to hum at the lowest pitch you can. Do this by stretching your jaw down and keeping your lips closed. Gradually raise the tone of your voice until you reach the highest octave your vocal cords will allow. Repeat this vocal exercise for as long as you feel it is necessary. Focus on cleansing each chakra center as you do. Include meditation and breathing exercises to expel the negative energy and replace it with positive energy.

Different Ways of Spiritual Cleansing

Spiritual Cleansing and Purification

There are many other rituals and exercises you can use to cleanse yourself spiritually. Write all the negativity on a piece of paper. Be as specific as possible. Once on paper, you meditate, deeply envisioning all the negativity in your life. Then you envision everything negative catching fire or dissolving, turning into dust, and the wind blowing it all away. Some find it necessary (depending on your magical tradition) to say a prayer to one’s deity, while others will say a mantra. Once you have adequately meditated on it and feel like the time is right, you will light the list on fire, physically burning it. While the paper burns say the following:

I am the purified flame. My spirit is now cleansed totally and freed

Easy Spiritual Cleansing Spell

There is nothing like the power of nature to cleanse every crook and cranny of your psyche spiritually. In almost all cultures, the power of sunshine, fresh air, and running water is a cure-all for most emotional problems and nearly all of the mental snares we can get into it. A part of this ritual asks you to wish others well as there is nothing more purifying for the spirit.

If you have a problem with fate, it is recommended that you take a walk in the woods to an isolated stream or body of water. Make sure the sun is shining.

Ingredients for the Spiritual Cleansing

  • Tobacco
  • lighter

How to Perform the Spiritual Cleansing

As you go through the woods, pick flowers. Each flower you pick symbolizes something better that could happen in the future. Pink flowers symbolize love, and blue ones mental health. White ones symbolize mental purity. Red ones represent lust and passion. Yellow flowers and herbs symbolize healing and money.

Take yourself to the body of water near enough to where you can hear it splashing or bubbling. Spread the flowers in a circle at your feet and sit in the center. Light the tobacco with your lighter, and visualize the smoke purifying you spiritually.

Lift your face to the sun and feel it shining down on your skin. Ask to be purified. Ask the universe or a higher power to take your worries and concerns away. When you feel purified and cleansed, open your eyes and gather the flowers at your feet. Toss them into the water, thinking about blessings for yourself and all of those you love.

Purification Spell

This simple spiritual cleansing and purification spell is based on an infusion from an old Celtic “healing waters” spell. The elements in the water infusion are sacred to the fairies, elves, and good spirits. You may do this spell even if you do not have every herb or flower needed. Just use as many as you can.

Each element in this infusion has its own meaning. Lavender is for peace and healing. The violet buds are for prosperity. Pine needles heal and clean the aura. Rosemary purifies and cleanses the aura and banishes bad memories. Rose petals are for unconditional love. Lime peel helps you regain emotional or psychic control over a difficult situation. Lemon peel purifies the aura and the physical self.

What you will need for the Purification Spell

  • One part lavender buds and leaves
  • One part violet buds
  • Two part rosemary
  • One part pine needles
  • One part rose petals
  • Two parts lime peel
  • Two parts lemon peel
  • a pot or a cauldron
  • Water
  • Jar

How to Cast the Purification Spell

This ritual can be done any time but is most effective if done on a Wednesday.

Boil the herbs and fruit peels in a pot with about a quart of water over medium heat.

When the water is richly colored, and the herbs are scenting your kitchen, drain the water off into a jar.

Place the jar in sunlight for an entire day to absorb the radiant energies of the sun.

Just before sundown, take the jar and run a bath.

Get into the bath and ensure you are wet from head to toe.

Chant these words until you have filled the jar with as much energy as it will hold.

By the sun and the moon

I am cleansed and now pure

Nothing can touch me

Nothing can change me

I am whole, strong and in a state of grace

Now pour the contents of the jar over your head as if you are baptizing yourself. Soak in the bath for as long as possible, and then pat yourself dry.
