You should always be conscious of whether the magic being used is black magic or white magic. These two types of magics occur on completely different spectrums. The black magic falls on the evil side while white magic is pure and good. Some believe that there is no real link between these two types of magic while others believe that the two magick types are completely different.
Differences Between Black Magick and White Magick
One of the main reasons that separates black magick and white magick is the person who casts the spell. Regardless of the spell, if the person who casts it is trying to gain something from the magic, the latter is regarded as black magic. Whereas someone who casts the same spell but has no gain in the matter would be regarded as white magic.
Another difference is in the spell work. People who cast black magic intend to hurt others while those who cast white magick are only casting these spells for the good of people. Any type of magic that is harmful towards humans such as casting a spell that requires on to poke or prod, burn or any type of discomfort in conjunction with casting spells on personal affects is considered black magick and white magick would be the complete opposite. White magick only embraces human nature and intends to heal problems of the body, heart and soul without causing any type of pain or suffering from anyone involved in the spell work.
The Separate But Equal Clause
There are many theories that surround black magick and white magick. The separate but equal clause states that these two types of magic are identical. The only difference is the outcome of the spell and the intention of the spell when it was made.
